*bounce* I have been dying to rec this fic here, but it was locked. :( I am thrilled that [livejournal.com profile] fabularasa was willing to have it posted it outside her journal so that everyone can read it. Because it is just that good.

Title: Low and Outside
Author: [livejournal.com profile] fabularasa
Pairing/Characters: Don/Charlie
Rating: NC17
Length: 15,000+
Why I'm reccing this fic: Because it is AWESOME!! A return to season one Don/Charlie with the lovely angst and the hot brother lovin’ and the sweetness. And did I mention it was scorching hot?
A brief excerpt: “Charlie,” Don breathed, meaning it to be the first part of Charlie, stop, only Charlie maybe took it as encouragement, or maybe he wasn’t as quick on the stop as he had meant to be.

“Come on, let’s do each other,” Charlie whispered in the dark, and just like that, he was being unzipped, and there was a warm hand closing on his dick, which all of a sudden could think of no objections.

Title: after solomon's temple
Author: [livejournal.com profile] maerhys @ [livejournal.com profile] rhysmae
Pairing/Characters: Don/Charlie, OFC, OMC
Rating: PG
Length: 2.419
Why I'm reccing this fic: This is my first Numb3rs fic and possibly my favorite because of the sensory detail and the OPOV. Also, it wrote itself, which never happens.
after solomon's temple

Title: maybe you're gonna save me but i don't think so
Author: [livejournal.com profile] maerhys @ [livejournal.com profile] rhysmae
Pairing/Characters: Don/Charlie, OMC
Rating: R
Length: 2,851
Why I'm reccing this fic: Stockton!Don is so appealing so writing a fic wherein Charlie visits him there and Don has to choose between his teammates and Charlie was too irresistible.
maybe you're gonna save me but i don't think so

Title: set fire to the sixth
Author: [livejournal.com profile] maerhys @ [livejournal.com profile] rhysmae
Pairing/Characters: Don/Charlie
Rating: NC-17
Length: 2,818
Why I'm reccing this fic: Possibly my favorite trope to write, but I struggled with how to write it. However, I love how it worked out from the canon references to the sexiness toward the end.

Title: Revenge
Author: KYenkin
Pairing: Larry/Megan, Charlie/Amita, Alan/Millie
Rating: T (deals with rape, though, so, you are warned.)
Length: In Progress, 17 chapters
Why I'm reccing this fic:
At first I will admit, I was hesitant, I didn't like the idea of Megan cheating on Larry for Colby, but then, as the story progressed, and we found out what actually happened, it grew on me. It has everything I love in a story, which usually I have to look at multiple stories for, in one story. Larry/Megan drama, Alan acting as a father to Megan, and Alan/Millie.

Title: I'm Still Here
Author: [livejournal.com profile] bucketohearts
Pairing: Larry/Megan
Rating: T
Length: 20 chapters/19,307 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: I was first drawn to this fic because I love all of EL's writing, and then I kept reading because well, there are very few fics that deal with Megan's relationship with her family, or more specifically, her father. The characterizations are very realistic for the characters, and I love how she has Megan's dad eventually start to respect and love his daughter.

Title: Vigilante Terrorist
Author: ALEO
Pairing/Characters: Don
Rating: T
Length: 56,503 words (22 chapters)
Summary: With an FBI agent under his control just how far is a vigilante willing to go to catch a terrorist?
Note: This fic is the sequel to Failure and this fic should really be read before starting the recced one as it provides important background information on the bad guy and Don's state of mind.
Why I'm reccing this fic: Because it is an awesome Don-centric angst fic that is extremely well written! What started as a normal day for Don turns into a nightmare when he is forced to do the bidding of an agent killer vigilante in order to prevent the deaths of hundreds of civilians. Unable to tell his team or the Bureau the truth of the situation due to a possible inside leak, Don is forced to resort to desperate measures to do the vigilante's orders and save hundreds of lives even as he is watched and mistrusted by his side. The writing flows smoothly, the situation unfolds nicely and poor, poor Don just kepts getting hurt.

Title: Q is for Quarry
Author: celadon
Pairing/Characters: Don, Charlie, Megan, David, Colby, Alan
Rating: T
Length: 87,997 words & counting (35 chapters & counting)
Note: this is a WIP, but is being updated regularly.
Summary: The team's latest case is far from normal as the killer they are chasing leaves photos of Don behind at the crime scenes.
Why I'm reccing this fic: I'm sure people are starting to see a pattern here, but again, another excellent Don angst fic. Here a suspect from Don's past returns to play a deadly game of cat and mouse with him. It is beautifully handled and puts Don in some tough positions before the man's true objective is revealed...

Title: Flowers for a Funeral
Author: 3rdgal
Pairing/Characters: Don, Charlie, Alan, Megan, David, Colby
Rating: T
Length: 45,892 words (18 chapters)
Note: this fic takes place after Flowers for a Friend and while it is not necessary to have read that fic, it would really help (plus it is a good fic too).
Summary: Furious at having been best by Don in the past and driven from L.A. as a result, Hector Gardenia decides some personal vengeance is necessary. He arranges for Don's and Colby's abduction sending the team on a wild goose chase while he takes his time with Don.
Why I'm reccing this fic: It is an excellent Don angst fic. The situation is very well handled and believable. A must read for anyone who likes to see Don in the hands of the bad guys.

Hello people, I'm the reccer this week and I plan to bring you a fic or vid every day. Being a Don fan first and foremost, I can say now that all of my recs will revolve around him in some way.
First off, we start with a great angsty fic:

Title: Collateral Damage
Author: celadon
Pairing/Characters: Don, FBI team, Alan, Charlie
Rating: T
Length: 59,337 words (26 chapter + epilogue)
Summary: It's been a physically and emotionally draining case, but Don is finally poised to make an arrest. So why is it never that simple?
Why I'm reccing this fic: Because it's got some absolutely awesome Don angst in it! That and the situation poor Don finds himself in is not only quite unique, but also very well portrayed. Suffice it to say that Don has a car accident while chasing a suspect and ends up underneath the car and the suspect (arsonist) decides this provides the perfect barganing tool...

Title: Parallel Connections Over Symmetric Spaces
Author: Dale Edmonds
Pairing/Characters: Don/Charlie (mention of past relationships, Don/Amita, Charlie/OMC, Don/OFC)
Rating: NC17
Warning: Mild torture
Length: Long
Why I'm reccing this fic: Can a fic be rec’d too much? It doesn’t matter if it can, because this is the first Numb3rs fic I ever read, and I wasn’t even in the fandom yet, so I can’t not rec it. I don’t know why I read it, I can only imagine that I was checking out Dale’s fic in other fandoms and decided to give this one a try. I’ve read it at least three time, and it never gets old. It’s angsty and beautiful and painful just how much what Don and Charlie are doing is killing Don, destroying him, until he figures out how he can live with it. (My only nitpick is the apparent confusing mix-up between Washington DC and Washington state, but it’s not enough of an issue to harsh my squee. *g*)
