Why I'm reccing this fic: This isn't a series, exactly, but a set of 8(?) episode tags.  For a variety of reasons, I'm not in general a D/C fan, but I love my Numb3rs fic so I read everything out there.  This is a fun series because it's tags to a bunch of different episodes, and each has a different feel/attitude to it, matching up with the episode.  There are also other writers for this challenge worth checking out.

[From Almost] It's well after midnight when Charlie finally speaks the words aloud. They've been pulsing through his head for hours now, the pressure building since the idea coalesced, malignant and terrible in his troubled mind.

"I almost died today."

They lay in Don's bed, rumpled from several bouts of desperate lovemaking, spooned together on their sides with Don's arm slung protectively across Charlie's torso. That arm tenses, tightens its hold, as the sentiment echoes within Don - not that he'd almost died as well, but that he'd almost lost Charlie.

Wow, Irena... This is... This is really unexpected! For you to rec a bunch of my D/C when I know it's not your favorite? I'm not just doubly honored, I'm stunned as well. Thank you so much and thank you for pointing out the challenge since it fits the week perfectly.

There are 8 now and 4 more coming which will be a series. I signed up for 4 per month/season and since I got the last 4 episodes of season 3 in a row I decided to make them a series.

Bonus: It's good to know someone noticed my fic is all tagged! LOL! I'm working on putting into memories by slash/het/gen and by pairing, but I've been exacting about my tags since the beginning in case they'd come in handy later and this is such a nice use of them for me! Thanks!

Hehe, I'm amused that you're stunned. *eg* Just because I don't really like a pairing, doesn't mean there are others out there who don't and might appreciate a pointer. :)
