eppes_slash lyric challenge in April and was hands down one of my favorite slash pieces that I wrote this year.
The invader turned, startled, dropping the glass of red wine he was holding. The man watched the crystal shatter, the crimson liquid splashing across the hardwood floor. He paused for a long moment before finally making eye contact with Don. “I take it you forgot I was coming home tonight?” Coop asked, sighing.

Why I'm reccing this fic: This fic is actually a part of a series, the prequel to Love and Friendship and Love Will Keep You Up All Night but out of the three, I think it's the best one, showing their first steps to getting together.
She looked over to Don, smiling softly as she realized his eyes were shut and the computer screen blackened. As quietly as she could, she collected her things, not wanting to wake the sleeping agent. As she dug through her purse for her keys, she groaned. Her exhausted brain finally remembered that her car was in the shop and she had bused to work today, planning on bumming a ride home with David who lived only blocks from her.
Setting her purse on the edge of her desk, she moved to Don’s sleeping form. Reaching out, she gently shook his shoulder. “Don? Don, time to wake up.”
