Numb3rs Fandom Recommendations

As some of you may have noticed, there was no sign-up post for Nov/Dec. You will still be able to sign up for assigned rec weeks, but because people haven’t been signing up, and I’ve had to choose themes to fill in those weeks anyway, I’ve decided to skip the step of assuming we’ll have someone signed up for an assigned week and just go ahead and pick a theme for each week during any particular period. If you want to know what the themes are ahead of time, before I open the challenge for that week, you can find the complete list on the community profile.

If you want to sign up for a week -- any week, even if it’s next week and a theme has already been chosen -- please do so in a comment here or to any admin post. This post will be linked from the main page.

Also, I’m still open to suggestions for themes! I’m nearing the end of the list I have (other than pairings, as I’ve got a lot of those to go), so please feel free to check out the list of themes we’ve already used and offer up suggestions for additional themes. You may comment here or to any admin post with your suggestions.

Lastly, since I’m nearing the end of my list, starting in January I’m going to start recycling through the themes we’ve already used, so if you missed your chance to rec your favorite David fic, it’ll come around again. To make things more interesting, I’m going to mix things up rather than go in the same order they appeared in previously.

Welcome to Numb3rs Fandom Recommendations, where the recs aren’t just for fan fic anymore! *g*

I’m very excited about this community because I’ve been thinking about doing something like this for a while. When ncisficrecs was recently created, I decided that there was no time like the present. This community will be a combination of the various rec communities across LiveJournal, based mainly on my experiences with crack_van, ds_recs and ds_recsredux.

Here’s how it’s going to work: We’re going to alternate themed rec challenges with assigned rec’ers on a weekly basis. New weeks begin on Mondays. Our inaugural themed challenge will be posted next Monday, March 19th.

During themed rec weeks you can make up to three recs that fit that particular theme.

During assigned rec weeks, you sign up to rec, pimp, talk about anything you want, so long as it’s Numb3rs-related. Fic, episodes, vids, characters, authors . . . .

ETA: To clear up any confusion, I wanted to clarify that this comm is for all genres of fic, so if you're not a Don/Charlie fan like me, don't despair! Gen, Het and Slash fic are all welcome! *g*
