Hey, folks! I was feeling a bit nostalgic about Numb3rs and the Numb3rs fandom, and I realized that it has been 10 years since Numb3rs premiered on January 23, 2005. And so a 10th Anniversary Fandom Appreciation & Rec Meme was born. *g* (Please note that everyone is welcome to participate in this meme, no matter when you found Numb3rs or how long you've been in the fandom!)

Just C&P the form from the textbox into a comment to this post. You are also welcome (and encouraged) to post your answers in your own journal. (And maybe send some more people our way.)

Numb3rs may have been cancelled, but hopefully the fandom will go on. To that end I’ve listened to your suggestions and will be making this an open, rec-as-you-go community instead of having themed recs.

The rules have been vastly simplified because of this *g* but please do give them a glance before you rec.

No new theme this week; instead, a question. What would you like to see done with this community? I can’t believe that there aren’t any good fic, art or vids that people want to rec, so I can only guess that the theme format is not working for most people.

smilla02 is actually not apart of our fandom in that she doesn't watch the show, but as my e-wife she does read my squee and rants quite a bit. She is an incredibly talented artist who has selflessly lent her talent to two new Numb3rs communities.

I am not an artist so I have no idea where to begin deconstructing her magic. She has an eye for color and texture that leaves me gasping for breath. And, she designs her graphics with very little raw material from Numb3rs (screencaps, etc.) so that her originality and attention to the smallest detail leave me speechless.

mustangcandi has such a great writing style that you can easily get lost in her fic, whether it's a full-length or a drabble. She writes multiple pairings/characters and always keeps things interesting. Whether she's writing something action-packed, angst-ridden, or schmoopy, you are certain to find something that suits your fancy when it comes to her works.

StatsGrandma has been writing Numb3rs fic since 2006. She's written a few wonderful one-shots, but her "Their Days are Numb3red" epic, beginning with "The Life of Gram" is really a must-read. Stats is a biostatistics professor and she's one of the few authors I've read who really knows what Charlie, Amita and Larry are talking about! Her series has grown along its own path, and by now I would classify it as AU. But she really understands the characters, and her portrayal of their family life is truly amazing! She only posts at Fanrush, but I'm hearing rumors that she's setting up her own website where her fiction will continue into the future.

I've been fortunate to share three fandoms with

audrarose and even when I do not share a fandom with her, I still read all of her fan fiction because it's just that good. Unfortunately, she no longer writes Numb3rs fan fiction but she left more than a few gems with us – mostly Don/Charlie, but a bit of gen and other slash. Her writing has a distinct style that lends itself to angst but in a way that enhances its veristic qualities – it's never emo porn for the sake of emo.

audrarose keeps a master list as well as a Numb3rs fic tag. Enjoy.

dsudis has sadly moved on from the Numb3rs fandom, but while she was here she gifted us with a bunch of fantastic fic. Dira is one of the few authors whose grocery list I’d read because she’s just that awesome a writer. A lot of her fic is Don/Charlie, but she’s written other pairings, such as David/Colby, as well.

schnaucl have provided the fandom with some wonderful fic. They can be counted on to tell a great story, and among all the fic they’ve written you’ll find some angst, some romance, and the sex (whether sweet or rough) is always smokin’ hot! Their pairings vary widely and include Don/Charlie, Don/Ian, Charlie/Ian, Don/Charlie/Ian and Don/Charlie/Billy.
