Numb3rs Fandom Recommendations

Numb3rs may have been cancelled, but hopefully the fandom will go on. To that end I’ve listened to your suggestions and will be making this an open, rec-as-you-go community instead of having themed recs.

The rules have been vastly simplified because of this *g* but please do give them a glance before you rec.

Rules:

General Community:

1. You must be a member to post, though not to comment.

2. This is a rec comm, not an announcement or pimping comm, so please do not rec your own work.

3. All posts will be memoried and tagged for ease of finding them later on.

4. If you can’t find the fic you’re looking for, check out numb3rsficfind.

Rec’ing:

5. You may rec anything Numb3rs-related -- Fan Fiction, Graphics, Music Videos, Websites, Episodes . . .

6. Any genre, pairing/character, or rating may be rec’d here, including RPF and crossovers.

7. Subject line: The names of the fic, vids, etc that you’re rec’ing, separated by commas.

8. Use the following format by copying and pasting it into your post. If you’re rec’ing a vid or an episode, tweak the code as needed.

Given that many of us will be busy with the holidays (and with recovering from the holidays) for the next couple of weeks, rather than issue a new challenge this week we’re having a 2-week Amnesty Period. All 81 themes that have been issued so far will be fair game, so if you missed one (and even if you didn’t), now’s the time to get those recs in!

Because it’s the holidays and we want as many wonderful recs as possible we’re feeling generous, you’re not limited to three recs total, though you will still be limited to three recs per theme. So if you’re feeling terribly industrious and want to submit 3 recs for each of the 81 challenges, for a total of 243 recs, then more power to you! *g*

To make it easier to memory and tag the posts, the only thing I require is that you submit your recs in separate posts for each theme, and somewhere in your post you must indicate which theme those recs are for.

The Amnesty Period will run for two weeks, so you have until midnight (wherever you are *g*) Sunday, January 3 to post your recs here!

You can find a list of all 81 themes listed by number in Memories, or listed alphabetically under tags (preceded by !theme:).

Welcome to Numb3rs Fandom Recommendations, where the recs aren’t just for fan fic anymore! *g*

I’m very excited about this community because I’ve been thinking about doing something like this for a while. When ncisficrecs was recently created, I decided that there was no time like the present. This community will be a combination of the various rec communities across LiveJournal, based mainly on my experiences with crack_van, ds_recs and ds_recsredux.

Here’s how it’s going to work: We’re going to alternate themed rec challenges with assigned rec’ers on a weekly basis. New weeks begin on Mondays. Our inaugural themed challenge will be posted next Monday, March 19th.

During themed rec weeks you can make up to three recs that fit that particular theme.

During assigned rec weeks, you sign up to rec, pimp, talk about anything you want, so long as it’s Numb3rs-related. Fic, episodes, vids, characters, authors . . . .

ETA: To clear up any confusion, I wanted to clarify that this comm is for all genres of fic, so if you're not a Don/Charlie fan like me, don't despair! Gen, Het and Slash fic are all welcome! *g*
