Why I'm reccing this fic: Another great Alan angst fic. Don has been attacked by a suspect and it was unsure whether or not he'll survive, so Alan can do nothing but wait. While he does so he thinks of all the things that have been left unsaid between himself and his eldest, and of all the misunderstandings and tension between them due to his past and Don's career. Great tension and it deals with the issues from Protest that I felt were never fully resolved.
