My OTP suffered this year at the hands of the writers, and so I was forced to spread my wings. I wrote a bunch of new (to me) pairings, and even a couple threesomes! Here are some of my own personal favorites:
Title: Who’s Hunting Who
Author: Spikedluv
Pairing/Characters: Coop/Edgerton
Rating: NC17
Length: 2841 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: I was thrilled when Leda_speaks wrote her Coop/Edgerton fic, Falls Away, the first of this pairing I’d ever read, because I’d been imagining what would happen the first time these two alpha males came face to face. So then, of course, I had to try writing them myself. *g*
A brief excerpt: What he got was Ian fucking Edgerton, who just “happened to be in the area”, and was “our best tracker”. Just thinking about Edgerton made Billy wish he could have something stiffer with his coffee. After fifteen years with the Bureau you’d think he might have run into Edgerton, but they’d managed to miss each other up til now. He’d heard about him, though. The sniper legend from Afghanistan, fifth best shot in the world, best tracker the Bureau had, bastard son of Clint Eastwood and Yoda . . . . Yeah, Billy had heard it all, and he was not interested in meeting up with the Bureau’s darling.
Who’s Hunting Who
Title: Worth It
Author: Spikedluv
Pairing/Characters: David/Colby
Rating: NC17
Length: 2462 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: David/Colby is one of my favorite pairings that doesn’t get enough loving, even from me. I wrote a couple David/Colby stories, but I think this is my favorite of them. It takes place after Chinese Box, when things come to a head and they’re forced to clear the air.
A brief excerpt: David held up one hand, sorry that he’d gone there and opened that can of worms. “No, man, I get it; what happens undercover, stays undercover.”
Okay, so maybe he was a little bitter.
“David, that’s not . . . . When I came back, I mean, after you started talking to me again, you never said anything.”
“What was I supposed to say? Hey, Colby, were you just sleeping with me so you could find out if I was a spy? Maybe I didn’t really want to know the answer to that, huh?”
Worth It
Title: Cat. Bag. Out. (Third in the Snowed In Series)
Author: Spikedluv
Pairing/Characters: Don/Colby
Rating: PG13
Length: 2838 words
Why I'm reccing this fic: I wrote a lot of fun (imo *g*) Don/Colby fic (like my shifter!Colby fic), but this one was totally self-indulgent, hitting all my own personal happy buttons. It was just a bonus that other people liked it, too. *g*
A brief excerpt: Before Don could answer, the kitchen door swung open and Colby stepped in. “Hey, I brought . . . .” He held up the basket of garlic bread, and then froze. “Uh, am I interrupting something?”
Alan recovered first. “Not at all, Colby. In fact, we were just talking about you.”
Alan took the basket out of Colby’s hand and set it on the island. As he transferred the garlic bread to a baggie, he said, “So, what are your intentions towards my son?”
