Why I'm reccing this fic: This was written for me for this New Year's ficathon, but I think everyone can enjoy Edgerton teaching Colby how to shoot and Edgerton's very devious methods for distracting Colby from his task. Also, this captures what I imagine is real sniper humor and attitude. Oh, and the hot pink chicken. *g*

The idea was simple enough: mesh cage full of chickens, certain ones dyed different colors, you had to hit one, just one...it was a typical sniper exercise that he'd tried before. He just...really wasn't sure he'd tried it in a more stressful situation before. Considering the last time he'd tried it had been in the middle of some desert in Afghanistan, it probably shed some light on the effect the man had on him. One of the effects, anyway, he thought to himself, grateful for the millionth time that he was on his stomach. Edgerton had been giving him directions and tips all morning, his voice low and serious, and Colby was having trouble keeping his mind on the chicken in front of him, and it wasn't just because of the color-
