Here are two wonderful, angsty Don fics that aren't (as far as I know) posted anywhere on LJ.
Title: The Fugitive
Author: Zubeneschamali
Pairing/Characters: Don, (Charlie, Alan, Megan, Colby, David)
Rating: T
Length: 139,634 words (16 chapter + epilogue)
Summary: Inspired by the classic story, an innocent man wrongly convicted of murder must flee for his life and his freedom while seeking the truth.
Note: AU, branching off after Money for Nothing. In this world, there was no mysterious DOJ assignment for Megan, no Janus List, and there never will be.
Why I'm reccing this fic: This is an excellent and detailed fic. It starts shortly after Don is convicted of murdering Special Agent Liz Warner in an attempt to prevent her discovery of his criminal activities within the FBI from coming to light. Luckily for him, a minor quake causes his prison bus to crash, allowing him to do what nobody expects... run. As he desperately attempts to uncover Liz's true killer on his own, he must also evade the FBI, led by the determined agent who investigated his case, ... and the assassin hired to take him out.
The story unfolds beautifully and the cross country descriptions are fantastic. The slow way that the conspiracy behind the corruption and murder unfolds is masterfully done.

The Fugitive
Title: Set the Fire
Author: Lisa Paris
Pairing/Characters: Don, Charlie, Alan, Megan, Colby, David
Rating: T
Length: 23 chapters + prologue & epilogue
Summary: First of all, he was conscious of the quiet. Of the cold, and the unearthly silence . . .
Note: This fic is posted in two places (that I know of). The first is fanfiction.net, where it is still being posted one chapter at a time. The second is the fanrush forums, where all the chapters are already posted. The problem with the second site is that there is no central list with all the chapters, only a listing of all the threads started by the author.
Why I'm reccing this fic: A wonderfully angsty fic. After successfully infiltrating a criminal organization, Don becomes a target in order to prevent him from testifying in court... and for personal revenge. The only problem? Don puts up a struggle when cornered and throws off the plan. The end result? The bullet meant to kill him, though hitting his head, doesn't kill him. Unbeknownst to the hitmen, he lies alive where he was dumped. Will the others find him in time?
Or will Don die, cold and alone?
